Rest (A Picture Poem)

This poem is based on Isaiah 30:15 and was a comforting word that God put into my heart many years ago. It helped me to realise that I was exhausted because I was running around doing things God hadn't asked me to do. I was trying to please God by doing things I thought He would approve of. However God does not want us to live this way. Instead He wants us to stay close in His presence and only 'do' things when He has let us know that they are part of His plan for us. If you are tired and dry, return to the feet of Jesus and sort it out in prayer. It will change your life!

In returning and rest you shall be saved. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.
